Thats right… Thank you!
That is very helpful, thank you for taking the time to explain that. I’ll watch the video and come back with any other questions but I think that should do it!
I think where im getting confused is in the Variable speed drive motor systems in the advanced washers course around minute 11 it talks about measuring VCC wrt DC ground. In the above exaxmple it seems that VCC is DC ground?
Ok, so in DC circuits when you measure +5VDC you’re really measuring that sucking force of the positive polarity whereas in AC you’re measuring the “pushing” force, is that a good way to put it?
For example, if I were to measure voltage between the red wire and some other random neutral, I’d see +5 VDC (or whatever the power supply voltage is) and if I do the same for the white wire and some other random neutral I’d see 0v? or would it be the other way around? Thanks!
Ah yes, I was thinking that the negative side was supplying the voltage not the ground. Thanks for the clarification!
Thank you for the clarification. I think there’s one more thing i’m not understanding with the battery and maybe this question will help reveal where im thinking wrongly about this. Why does the white wire get the power from the battery if thats DC Ground?
