    With an ohmmeter you will read OL,like in the case of a wire.
    With an voltmeter will be the same like the previous case,0V or something insignificant.Tell me if I am right,and sorry for me English,it’s not my maternal language.

    All te explanation are for appliances that have L1 and L2.But,for example,the heater for the dryer in Europa,one wire is Line and and the another is Neutral?Sorry if my explanation is not so good.
