Again running this through my head and here is what I came up with.
The neutral is open hence why you are getting 120VAC but the circuit isn’t complete to allow the bulb to work. So you are measuring potential voltage from L1, but we have an open on neutral. So there is an open switch/line in the circuit.

Digging into it a little bit more. I know it cant be a short, because it would either cause a fuse to blow or even a fire!(ekkk)
So it sounds like we should have an open circuit somewhere. Which can be multiple areas, like the door switch(keep coming back to that one)
