Ok thank you. I guess the problem i’m having is figuring out where the common terminal is located on a dryer motor for example. Its easy to see it on a compressor motor.. Thank you for the response

So on a compressor motor there are three windings..The start terminal the main terminal and a common terminal. Would the same principle apply for a dryer motor?

Sorry I went back and watched the video again..My understanding now is that this a series parallel circut. The ignitor and dectector are in series with one another giving them each a voltage drop of 60VAC.The booster and main are also in series with each other giving them a voltage drop of 60 VAC each. And the safety is in parallel and has a drop of 120 VAC.. Is that right?
