Two questions:
1) The centrifugal switch is a DPDT ? Double pole / double throw?
2) The markings “B” & “T” on the cam terminals…bottom & top positions of the timer?
Sorry, no experience yet seeing one of these in real life.
Can these be used for 120 volts? From the above link:
Great for back-probing harness connectors and automotive sensors
Flexible silicon bends for difficult areas
Can be used up to 30 Volts
Connects to test leads with removable ends
Flexible 1.5 inch silicon pins provide easy back probing connections for DMM and scope measurementsGracias caballero.
Thorough, rapid and OMG you get up early (or stay up late?) to respond!Ok so shopping for a clamp meter, you have indicated that there is no need for DC current capability.
What are your thoughts on TRMS? Luxury or necessity?
How about frequency?
How much resolution should we look for in amp readings? 0.001 milliamps?
With an eye towards increasing use of digital controls, without naming brands, what other capabilities would you recommend for a first time clamp meter buyer?
Is temperature measurement a good thing to include on a clamp meter or should that be a separate instrument. (seen a lot of fluke bashing for temp calibration on some units)
My interests are for domestic appliances along with some commercial restaurant equipment.
So after four months, has the 429 proven to be the all in one go to meter for you? I have been looking at it for the same two temperature probe capacity, but was leery of taking the leap with a first generation bluetooth and opting for the True RMS 389 Phoenix model which is being discounted by several vendors now.
So no need for a meter that measures milliamps DC ?
