thats weird for example i had checked the resistance for a water temp sensor for a kenmore front load washing machine and i took the connector off the board to check for the resistance and it started off at around 34 ohms then would come down then spike back up. accordind to the tech sheet the resistance should be low because the 34 ohms it was saying that would say the water was at 32 degrees. but it didnt provide any information in reference if you were to take a voltage reading. so i was only able to go off the sensor ohm reading.

Yes that I have been understanding but what i was trying to understand is when someone says for example ” when a drain pump fails under load” So like you will check source voltage, resistance, and that all checks out fine but it will still fail under load. So while the drain pump is receiving the voltage and your test leads are on the drain pump, so when it is failing under load is the voltage drop the way to tell when it is failing under load?

I also have a question in regards to voltage drop. So lets say a load that is supposed to have a voltage drop of 120v but say im actually getting 80v. Is this what it means when the when a device is failing under load?
