ok, now I understand and yes I did mix up the terms. So when I look at a schematic and see a spark mod on each burner I am looking at a single point. This helps a lot.
THanks
Joe LandersAHHHH , the ground to chassis, I was only thinking about the burner head as a distribution device for the gas. So if what was spilled on the cooktop gunked up the burner head then it would possibly interrupt the return or ground.
Thanks now I understand lol.
Joe Landers
Ok but how is the correct answer the burner head? if there is an issue with return current where does the burner head come into play?
Im just confused i am picturing the burner head on my home cooktop, and i don’t see how it would have anything to do with current.THanks again for the help.
Joe Landers
Yes sir,
I was confused by the question, but now I see where I went wrong. Also question 2 after re-watching the Grey Furnace Man Video, and MORE CAREFULLY reading the question and answers I see how I was wrong there as well. Thanks
Joe LandersOk. I did not think that through. Now I see or understand.
Thank You,
Joeagain I jsut looked at my quiz, I must be really tired, I answered correctly on # 2 regulator. for some reason I answered gas dryer igniter instead of gas oven igniter. Lol its been a heck of a week.’
Thanks
JoeOk so that circled is the Triac? I thought that was a molex plug. Now Im seeing it with the G tail. Ok Thanks it makes a lot more sense to me now LOL
Joe
Ok, but I have the symbols sheet printed out for reference, but I just don’t see the Triac symbol on that schematic in question 10. It looks like the inlet valve has 2 Triac symbols but i can’t find one on the drain pump.
So the voltage from N to G is 0.
I think I am having trouble with some of the terminology, in that I have worked in with electricity for years L1 and L2 to me both 120 Volts when you take a meter reading each to ground or to neutral. 240 from L1 and L2. I must be confusing what I am seeing in some of the videos I thought I heard Samurai call L2 neutral.Yes thank you,
As I thought about this more I did not even think of the heater element as a load for some reason…..Duh…I realize now that is what threw me off. Maybe I was just tired after working long day…Thanks Again.
