    On salvatore’s last question he said

    ” Cam number 1 needs to be closed in order to power the entire system. So I decide to check the cam and see it is closed, I measure O volts, this is telling me that it is closed and I am just reading one side of a closed switch to the other.”

    doesn’t this question assume the rest of the circuit is in fact a circuit? wouldn’t an open neutral or bad L1 have the same result?

    Could you explain in this instance how to tell the difference? I am still wrapping my head around testing voltage to make definitive tests on loads working or not.

    Never mind, I think I understand now. The first video in this unit shows measuring resistance and he mentions that you can’t measure a resistor in a circuit. I am guessing this is because you would end up measuring the resistance of the rest of the circuit maybe or just otherwise have a wrong reading. I love the course. Thank you.
