Ok. I think I understand. I was dithering that the clip may be on the board. If it’s on the board and I face away, my left is the technician’s right. However, if the clip is on the connector, my left is is also the technician’s left. Or! Are there four possibilities?

So, when I think of the voltage/current relationship I should think in terms of supply voltage and not voltage drop. Am I on the right track? Thank you for the response by the way!

My parenthesis above is actually wrong. I should have said I know about the current because of the math, which is one of the two things that allow us to understand. In other words, I know the amount of through ohm’s law: I=E/R!
