    Thanks Sam.

Thanks Sam, I guess I made the condenser fan part of the sealed system.
Even though it’s not sealed I didn’t know where else to put it. Looking at my notes I don’t seem to have it anywhere.

The reason I should have said defrost system is if the defrost drain gets plugged or the defrost isn’t working at all it could cause the water problem.

My chart shows it’s pwm from the control board to the inverter board. But it”s also pwm from the inverter board to the inverter compressor- correct?

in reply to: Mod. 1 Unit 11 quiz. question 1 #14769

Ahhh, Thank you very much Sam!
I still had to stare at those answers for a while… but it’s obvious now. Inverter compressors use a variable frequency drive. But the voltage itself is PWM. Voltage Modulated in frequency, amplitude, and width of voltage pulse. Is that pretty much it?

I saw it as part of the coursework for the refrigerator class I’m pretty sure unless I somehow was clicking back and forth between appliantology and MST? At any rate I like the laid-back atmosphere here.

I’m not sure where I saw it but I think this is a link.

I struggled to answer this before I missed it on the test.
But as I’ve been thinking about it; it occurs to me that the load should drop all the voltage, so there wouldn’t be any left to kill me.
    Is that right?
If it is, I may have confused myself more than before.
Because since the current is alternating, why wouldn’t the neutral be carrying current enough to kill me about 30 times a second? (or should I have said 60?)

Nevermind guys I think I found the answer to my question I started at the hamburger at the top right of the screen. ( I learned that term here too, thank you) and scrolled down to “quiz and exam reset”
I just want to say that I enjoy this course. My greatest frustration is my internet connectivity.
I am spending more time on this Forum and getting more comfortable with it.
It’s kind of fun to think that this is one time when I actually SHOULD spend more time on my phone!

    Hey samurai or mrs Samurai,
I am ready to take the second half of my final exam when I get my nerve up. But of course I want to get certified and there were a few modules that I need a few extra points on.
So do I understand this correctly-I just need to review them and when I’m ready; ask you to pretty please reset my quizzes? I thought I’d best get that done before I finish my final. Thanks in advance!

Thank you John! I had the same question.
