yes i went back and i realized, that its a parallel circuit , each recieving the [answer hidden]vac

in reply to: Mod 3 Unit 9: AC Current Flow Question #13776

so…..i have a small shop about 100′ from my house

it has 120vac supply, from somewhere at my house

( could be incorrectly tied to some 120v circuit off of a room of the house)

or could be tied to the breaker panel…..L1 or L2 idont know?

—-Now for the Scenario in Question—How to get 240vac at shop?
…and I realize this would be below code…

Could i just run the proper guage of romex to my shop, from either side of the breaker panel.

What if i ended up on the same side as the already existing 120vac circuit(now in my shop)
For instance if the origin of shop wiring were L1 and neutral, and I wired the prospective circuit on the L1 side/neutral bar also…….

Would i just end up with electrically equivalent points. With no potential difference in which electrons could flow?

Wouldnt i just have 2 120v wires from the same circuit, which would be in phase with one another, therefore incapable of producing 240vac
