    Rather than a shop 100 feet from your home. Think of a sub-panel installation. (imagine the sub-panel is the Shop out there).

    When I installed my sub-panel to handle all the other “things” we have around the house, I needed to use a 50 Amp dual pole breaker. Each side of that breaker (inside) is tied to L1 (A) or L2 (B). So I have choices now on the sub-panel of 240 or 120 volt lines.
